South Riding is an unincorporated planned community in Chantilly of eastern Loudoun County, Virginia, with its final population expected to reach 15,000. Neighboring US 50 and VA 28 provide access to the Dulles/Reston/Tysons Corner technology corridor and other major employment centers in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
South Riding has three elementary schools, a high school and a day care center. Ultimately, the community will also have a regional shopping center, office buildings, hotel, and public safety center. Its new high school is Freedom High School, which should not be confused with Freedom High School of Prince William County, although both schools' mascots are the "Eagles".
