McLean is an unincorporated community located in Fairfax County, Virginia. Recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau as a census designated place (CDP), the community had a total population of 38,929 as of the 2000 census.
The heavily wooded town of McLean is located between the George Washington Parkway and the town of Vienna and is known for its upscale homes and small town atmosphere despite its proximity to the capital.
