Coventry is a town located in Orleans County, Vermont. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,014. This final concert of the band Phish, held there in August, 2004, was the single largest gathering of people in the town's history. Starting on Saturday, August 14, fans had to be turned back due to bad weather. Even so, with 70,000 tickets sold, Coventry's augmented population was the largest in the state's history, outranking Burlington, Vermont, which only had around 39,000 people in the 200 census.
