Loudon is a town located in Loudon County, Tennessee. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 4,476. It is the county seat of Loudon County.
Loudon is located in eastern Tennessee, southwest of Knoxville, near the Fort Loudon Dam, at the junction of the Tennessee and Little Tennessee Rivers.
Fort Loudon, which was built in 1765, and fell to the Cherokee in 1760, is nearby.
