Tualatin is a city located in Washington County, Oregon. It is named for the Tualatin River, which flows along most of its northern boundary. A post office with the spelling Tualitin was established November 5, 1869. In the 1880s, the settlement was sometimes called Bridgeport because of the nearby bridge, the first built over the Tualatin river. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 22,791.
