Heppner is a town located in Morrow County, Oregon, USA. This town was originally called Standsbury Flat for George W. Standsbury, one of the first white settlers in the area. It was later renamed to honor Henry Heppner, who opened the first general store there in 1873. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,395.
