Poland is a village located in Mahoning County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,866. The town is part of the Youngstown-Warren, Ohio metro area.
The town was created by a man named Johnathan Fowler. Who fell in love with the Yellow Creek, which flows right through Poland. Fowler owned and inn near the river. The historical parts of Poland can be located by a wooden piece, in the shape of Ohio, on the front door of the historical building. The wooden piece tells what the building once was.
