West Seneca is a town located in Erie County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 45,920.
The Town of West Seneca, as Seneca, was incorporated in 1851. The town changed the name to West Seneca in 1852 to avoid confusion with another location in the state (Seneca, New York in Ontario County).
