Kendall is a town located in Orleans County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,838. The town is named after a contemporary Postmaster, Amos Kendall.
The Town of Kendall was incorporated in 1835 from the Town of Murray and is in the northeast corner of the county. It was formerly called North Murray and was not settled rapidly due to swampy terrain.
