Blasdell is a village located in Erie County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,718. The name is derived from Herman Blasdell, the first station master of the Erie and Pennsylvannia railroad depot.
The Village of Blasdell lies in the northern part of the Town of Hamburg and was incorporated in 1898. The village considers itself the "Gateway to the Southtowns" of Erie County.
