New Harbor is a small town on the coast of the U.S. state of Maine, in Lincoln County. This small town is located in Lincoln County. It is in this small town that the famous Pemaquid Lighthouse is located. The harbor itself is home to a thriving lobstering community, and several dozen vessels have this harbor and the adjoining Back Cove as their home port. The area is home to several fine quality restuarants such at the local seafood dive Shaws and the more high-class Anchor Inn. Many of the stores and restuarants around in the area, including the aforementioned Shaws as well as the local general store, Reiley and Sons, have set up a system in which they bring college-age students from Europe to come live and work for a year in the small coastal village. The harbor is home each year to the locally popular Marritt Brackett Lobsterboat Races in which many local lobstermen compete for the title of fastest lobsterman. The area is also home to a thriving tourist community.
