Winnetka is a village located in Cook County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 12,419.
It is the childhood home of Donald Rumsfeld, the United States Secretary of Defense from 2001 to the present. Winnetka is also the setting of the television drama Sisters.
