Lewistown is a city located in Fulton County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,522. It is the county seat of Fulton County. Located in central Illinois, it is southwest of Peoria. It is the source of Spoon River Anthology by E.L. Masters, who lived there. Indian burial mounds are nearby.
