Mountain House, California is a town located in San Joaquin County, located approximately 5 miles northwest of Tracy. The town has an approximate population of approx. 3,000 people, with just over 596 registered voters (as of late 2005). It's the largest new planned community in San Joaquin county in many years, with the lofty goal of providing 14,500 homes for 43,000 residence by 2015. The community promises 12 villages each anchored by an elementary school within walking distance for the homes they service.
