Knights Ferry, California is a town in Stanislaus County about 40 miles east of Modesto California on the Stanislaus river. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it was an important mining town during the gold rush. It is home to the longest covered bridge west of the mississippi at 330 feet in length.
