Coolidge is a city located in Pinal County, Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 7,786, an increase of 852 people since the 1990 census.
Coolidge is northwest of Tucson, Arizona, about half-way between Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, between Casa Grande, Arizona and Florence, Arizona along Highway 87 near the Picacho Reservoir.
Coolidge is home of the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. The monument was the first historic site protected status by the United States Government in 1892. The ancient city was built about 1200 A.D. by the Hohokam people.
